Our friend Heather started Youth Life Foundation of Richmond (YLFR) 9 years ago. They serve students & their families at two locations, with a mission to develop leaders by making long-term investments in children from at-risk communities. This involves after-school & summer programs for students kindergarten through high school. Many people do various fundraisers to raise money to run
their programs.
Hope Church runs Hope Thrift Store located at 11260 Patterson Avenue in the Tuckahoe Village Shopping Center. They are going to promote YLFR as their Ministry of the Month and this Saturday, July 16 all of their proceeds will go to YLFR! This includes gift certificates & vouchers.
So, if you are unable to attend that day personally you can send someone to buy you a gift certificate to use at a later date & the gift certificate amount will go to YLFR as well. Also, you can purchase a gift card or voucher for one of the YLFR families to shop for their back to school clothes.
From what I hear the clothes are REALLY nice & a great price! You will be helping local missions as well as getting some great deals on items for you or your family. The event is Saturday, July 16 from 9am til 5pm & shop for YLFR!
