Ingredients
- Bushel of organic apples (ours were Empire, from Henley's Orchard)
- Purified water
- Wash apples & slice thin, discarding the stem & core.
- Pour 2 inches water into crock pot then pile apple slices atop.
- Set to "warm" overnight or "low" if you're stirring occasionally during the day.
- Mash cooked apples & further puree with immersion blender
- Pour applesauce into sterile, hot jars. Cover with hot lids & wait for that magic "pop."
