I've been looking for a way to make our laundry smell "clean" without using a scented soap (we use Country Save for everything) & without dryer sheets (which leave a residue on cloth diapers). Recently I read that an easy way to scent your laundry (just clothes, not diaper loads) with essential oils is with your dryer. Add just one drop of essential oil to a cotton ball (never more than 2), seal it inside a muslin bag & toss the muslin bag in the dryer with the wet laundry. The scent of the essential oil will quickly fill the dryer with aroma, leaving just the right amount of scent on the laundry. In order to avoid any staining, a spritz of lavender-rosemary hydrosol on the cotton ball also works well.
