grapefruit + ginger wassail

Mulling Spices

  • 2 quarts apple cider or unfiltered apple juice 
  • .5 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
  • 2 cups grapefruit juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • juice of 2 in piece ginger root
  • 3 sticks cinnamon 
  • 2 Tbsp mulling spices (cloves, ginger root, allspice, citrus rind, etc) in tea diffuser or cheesecloth
Warm in thick walled pot or slow cooker for 1 hr to combine flavors; can be frozen.
